Watch: Nigel Farage sets out UKIP's economic policies
Nigel Farage was in the North West today setting out his economic policies at a conference in Heywood & Middleton - one of the seats UKIP will be hoping to poach from Labour come the election.
Mr Farage promised tax and spending cuts and a crackdown on immigration to boost wages.
Cuts would be made to foreign aid spending, down to £2 billion from £10 billion, while leaving the EU would save up to £10 billion annually.
All together UKIP believe they can save £25 billion a year from public spending.
During a visit to the Granada Reports studio Tony asked Mr Farage how realistic his numbers really were:
Some of the other measures UKIP announced were that they would re-allocate funds from international aid and membership of the EU to boost defence spending and that they would scrap the inheritance tax.
Tony pressed Mr Farage on his policy of abolishing the inheritance tax, starting by asking him if he knew how much money the tax generated:
