Nurse back home after helping fight Ebola

Kathy Farrell, an A&E nurse at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, is back home after spending six weeks fighting Ebola in West Africa.

Kathy travelled to Sierra Leone in December with a group NHS workers who volunteered their time and expertise.

She missed Christmas with her four children to help those desperately in need.

More than 9000 people have now died from the ebola epidemic in West Africa.

For health professionals treating ebola patients - working conditions are challenging.
