Couple find giant cockroarch in their dish on curry mile

A couple have spoken of their disgust after they found a giant cockroach in their curry during a romantic meal.

Stu Beevers, 28, claims to have found the insect the size of a two pound coin in his chicken kerala while dining at Mughli Restaurant of Rusholme’s Curry Mile.

His girlfriend Natalie Roberts, 27, said the pair had been left disgusted by the grim discovery and left the restaurant without paying in protest.

The couple, both from Stockport, are now set to report the incident to Manchester Council and say the unwanted ingredient left Stu vomiting all night following the meal on Saturday.

The restaurant say they closed immediately after being notified of the cockroach last Saturday night - and are carrying out a full investigation.

Mughli, which also has a restaurant in Knutsford, Cheshire, was given a four-star ‘very good’ rating in its last inspection by Manchester council food hygiene officers in October 2012.
