Ex-St Helens coach Brown returns to Rugby League - in Australia
Four months after guiding St Helens to Grand Final glory at Old Trafford, Nathan Brown is back in rugby league after being appointed by Melbourne Storm as a coaching consultant.
The 41-year-old, who was granted an early release from his contract with Saints for family reasons, will be based in Sydney for his new role.
Brown, who was a one-club man with St George Illawarra, playing for them for 10 years and then becoming their coach, before moving to England in 2008, will provide Melbourne head coach Craig Bellamy with opposition analysis as well as helping out with specialist coaching for the club's hookers and half-backs and assisting in a recruitment role.
Brown spent six years in England, guiding Huddersfield to their first Wembley appearance for 47 years in 2009 and last October masterminding St Helens' first title triumph for eight years.
