Cheshire Phoenix sign world's tallest basketball player
Cheshire Phoenix have signed the world's tallest basketball player, and second tallest living Englishman, Paul "Tiny" Sturgess.
The 7ft 8ins, 26-year-old centre is originally from Loughborough and made his name during a two-year spell with the Harlem Globetrotters exhibition team.
Sturgess played at Mountain State University in West Virginia and was drafted to NBA D-League side Springfield Armour in 2013. Later that season he was traded to another D-League side, Texas Legends.
