Dogs home survivors to star in calendar

Survivors of the devastating fire at Manchester Dogs’ Home have taken pride of place in the charity's calendar for 2015.

The line-up of calendar canines includes January's Sandy, who was was one of just two dogs to be rescued alive from the home's fire-ravaged Adoption Unit.

A total of 60 dogs were killed in the fire.

The rest of the furry line-up features dogs adopted from the home over many years - including Billy, an English bull terrier given a new home by comedian John Bishop.
