McVey poised for promotion in final cabinet reshuffle

The Conservative MP for Wirral West is expected to be promoted to the cabinet later in the last reshuffle before the General Election.

Esther McVey currently holds the post of Employment Minister.

She is part of a group of women tipped for promotion as the Prime Minister looks to address the lack of women at the top of government.
