Villagers' anger at housing plan for theme park
Villagers living around a derelict tourist attraction are furious at plans to build more than four hundred homes on the site.
Developers want to level the former Camelot Theme Park near Chorley, and create a bustling housing estate in its place.
Campaigners in the nearby village of Heskin say the proposals would change their neighbourhood out-of-recognition.
The park closed in 2012. Its owners, Story Homes, insist the site will remain vacant if it is not redeveloped. They argue their plans will create affordable homes and much-needed jobs.
Planners at Chorley Council will decide whether to approve the scheme when they meet in August.
