The story of the Lancashire Fusiliers at Gallipoli in Turkey is one of the most remarkable of World War One.

It became known as "Six VCs Before Breakfast", as the Fusiliers attacked W Beach on the morning of 25th April 1915.

The regiment started the battle with 1002 men. By roll call next morning, that number had fallen to 304.

But six men received the Victoria Cross Medal for their gallantry in taking the beach and the cliffs above against overwhelming firepower.
