Sheridan Smith loving filming 'Cilla' drama in Liverpool

'I've always wanted to work in Liverpool, it's the friendliest city in the world' says Sheridan Smith as she started filming in the city.

Sheridan will be in Liverpool for six weeks, playing the young Cilla Black in ITV1's new three-part drama on her life.

The story spans the 1960s, following Cilla Black's journey from the local typing pool to stardom. How she met two men who loved and fought over her, her future husband Bobby and the legendary Beatles manager Brian Epstein.

The drama looks at how Cilla's friendship with John, Paul, George and Ringo shaped her career.
