Bellew beaten in title fight
Liverpool boxer Tony Bellew has lost his bid to take the WBC light-heavyweight title from Canada's Adonis Stevenson in Quebec City.
Stevenson won in a sixth-round stoppage as the Canadian's punches proved too powerful.
A huge left-hand knocked Bellew off his feet, and the fight was stopped when Bellew was boxed into a corner moments later.
The 31-year-old Bellew, who lost a world title challenge to Nathan Cleverly in 2011, had been ranked as the underdog against the 36-year-old Stevenson.
