Moors murderer demands prison transfer, so he can die
Moors murderer Ian Brady will appear before a mental health tribunal this morning, to ask to be allowed to starve to death.
Brady is currently force-fed at the secure Ashworth Hospital in Merseyside, after going on hunger strike in 1999.
The killer wants the tribunal to permit his transfer to a normal prison, where he could stop eating and let himself die.
The tribunal will convene at the hospital at 11am. The proceedings will be relayed, via video link, to Manchester's Civil Justice Centre for members of the press and public to see.
The hearing is expected to last for 8 days
