Four people hospitalised by contaminated "green apple" ecstasy
Four people have been taken to hospital in Stockport, after taking what are believed to be contaminated ecstasy tablets.
A 16-year-old, who took two of the tablets last night, is still being treated at the town's Stepping Hill Hospital. Police say the teenager is "very poorly".
Officers from Greater Manchester Police are warning drug users that the suspect batch of drugs has a "green apple" design.
Inspector Pete Walsh says: "Over recent months there have been a number of highly publicised incidents where people have been brought into hospital after taking recreational drugs, some of whom have suffered very severe reactions and even died."
