Two arrested after gun incident at Salford Royal Hospital

Two people have been arrested after an incident at Salford Royal Hospital.

At 9.20pm, last night, Friday, police were called to Salford Royal Hospital following reports of a man with a gun.

Officers found a man had made threats to staff. Nobody was injured, the man was arrested and a firearm was recovered.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and false imprisonment. A 40-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

Both suspects are now in custody.

Nobody was injured during the incident.
