One Direction announce Manchester stadium date for 2014

Boyband One Direction have announced they will play at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester as part of their world tour next year.

The concert will be on May 31, 2014.

The tour will kick off in South America in April before returning home to the UK and Ireland.

Tickets go on sale on May 25, 2013, and are expected to sell out quickly.

More dates and cities for the tour will be announced in due course.
