Brian Noble named new Salford Head Coach
Former Great Britain coach Brian Noble has been confirmed as the new head coach of Salford City Reds.
The 52-year-old former Wigan and Bradford boss, who has been out of club coaching since leaving Crusaders at the end of 2010, takes over from Phil Veivers who was sacked after losing 38-4 to London last month, leaving the City Reds bottom of the Super League.
The announcement was made by new owner Marwan Koukash before today's home game against Hull and Noble will take charge for the first time in next Sunday's Challenge Cup tie against the University of Gloucestershire.
