Staying cold and dry this week

Winter sunrise, Thornton Hough, Wirral. Steve Mulville

Temperatures stay well below average for the time of year this week. As the wind increases slightly a marked wind chill will develop as the week progresses. It will however remain largely dry with sunny spells.

A cold but sunny end to the bank holidays. Skies will clear overnight giving a widespread frost into Tuesday.

Midweek

A dry outlook. Winds increase and move into a northerly direction from midweek. This will make it feel much colder than it is.
