MRI scans for Egyptian mummies in Manchester
Mummies may be a familiar sight at Manchester Children's Hospital, but these are Egyptian mummies from the Manchester Museum.
They have been having CT scans for historical research.
The X-ray techniques can provide clear pictures of the historical treasures inside the casks, without risking damage by opening them up.
The scans take place after hours in the hospital and staff that do the tests help out in their spare time.
