Two locals go head to head in the category for 'Best Serial Drama Performance' - Walkden's Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) takes on Stockport's Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre)- both of whom are in Coronation Street.
Filmed in Manchester, 'The Jeremy Kyle Show' is up for Best Daytime Programme.
Hot favourite to win the Best Newcomer award is Burnley actress Natalie Gumede who plays husband- beating Kirsty Soames in Coronation Street.
Then there's the usual battle for the title of 'Best Serial Drama'- Coronation Street has been shortlisted along with Chester's very own Hollyoaks.
Emmerdale is also up there in the nominations but they all have to beat off tiff competition from those southerners in Eastenders!
