Pensioner robbed of casino winnings and life savings
A street robber has stolen a pensioner's life savings, and what police describe as "substantial" casino winnings.
The 86-year-old was attacked after she won a large amount of money on a night out at Genting Casino in Salford.
She took a taxi home to Swinton and got on Grosvenor Street. Moments later, she was attacked by a young man in a black hoodie and black trousers. He grabbed her white handbag and fled.
The bag contained the casino winnings and the pensioner's entire life savings. She was carrying the latter because she feared being burgled at home.
Her attacker is described as skinny and 5ft 4in tall. The robbery happened on Grosvenor Street.
PC Michelle Ingham says: "It might be this thief starts bragging about... coming into money. Search your conscience and tell us what you know and help us stop this woman enduring a miserable Christmas."
