The country's national newspapers have offered their reactions to the George Osborne ticket row, broken exclusively by Granada Reports.

As Rachel Townsend exclusively reported yesterday the Chancellor boarded a train and sat in first class, despite only being in possession of a standard class ticket.

The Daily Star describes Mr Osborne as a "fare-dodging" on the train. The Daily Mail links the story to that of former-Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell, who resigned yesterday over the "pleb-gate" affair, with the headline "Who Do They Think They Are?".

The Sun and The Mirror both carry Rachel's picture of the Chancellor in first class, with the Mirror printing it on the front page.
