Men to be sentenced for sheep rustling
Two men are due to be sentenced at Preston Crown Court following what is believed to have been the first convicted case of sheep rustling in the country for about 25 years.
James Hesketh, 20, and James Kirkham, 65, were found guilty of handling stolen goods; 55 pregnant sheep worth up to £15,000.
The ewes were found five days after they were stolen in a field in County Durham.
DNA proved they were linked to the Lancashire flock that had been stolen.
