Man dies after shots fired in Clayton and Droylsden
A man has died after shots were fired at two houses in Clayton and Droylsden.
Police discovered the man shortly after 10.30am this morning after being called to an address in Clayton, following reports of gunshots.
A short time later, at 10.39am, police received reports that shots had been fired at an address in Droylsden.
Extra officers are currently being deployed to both areas, including armed response officers.
Police say it's not known whether the incidents are linked or whether anyone else has been injured.
Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan, said: “Tragically, a man has lost his life and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
“These incidents will understandably cause a lot of anxiety and upset and our primary focus is to ensure the safety of those in the local communities and the wider public of Greater Manchester. "
