Funeral of Stone Roses fan to take place today

The funeral of Christopher Brahney, the Stone Roses fan who died following the band's recent concert in Manchester, is taking place today.

The 22-year old was found in Salford Quays nine days after going missing after the gig at Heaton Park.

Police believe he'd fallen into the River Irwell after becoming separated from his friends.

A post-mortem examination carried out on the Stone Roses fan failed to established how he died.

A huge campaign to find him was launched with the Stone Roses appealing to fans on their website to 'spread the word.
