Liverpool owner John Henry and chairman Tom Werner will miss today's FA Cup semi-final against Everton after flying back to the United States.

The club have confirmed they flew home to watch Boston Red Sox's first home match of the Major League Baseball season last night.

Henry and Werner were expected to attend the game at Wembley against Everton.

The two leading figures in Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's owners, held talks with manager Kenny Dalglish during their time in the city but Werner said on Thursday that the Scot's position was not under immediate threat.
