Drunk groom misses sentencing
37 year old Max Kay from Hunts Cross in Liverpool, was meant to be sentenced this morning at Chester Crown Court after setting fire to his own wedding venue.
The hearing had to be adjourned though because Kay was arrested on Monday night for breaching his bail conditions by cutting off his electronic tag. Court heard he may have also taken overdose of medication.
Last December Kay pleaded guilty to arson that was reckless as to whether life was endangered last December. It's after he set fire to his own wedding venue Peckforton Castle Hotel in Cheshire last June causing £6 million pounds worth of damage. 200 people had to be evacuated.
Kay has been remanded into custody, he'll be sentenced on the 21st of March at Chester Crown Court.
