States vote to scrap 11-plus in Guernsey

Politicians in Guernsey have voted to scrap selection for pupils at the age of 11.

The States voted to instate an an all-ability secondary education, 21 -19.

The previous government voted to scrap the eleven plus system earlier this year.

But, the April election saw a new government come into power, throwing the whole debate open once again.
