Jersey Marathon confirms winner has been disqualified
It has been confirmed that the winner of the 2016 Jersey Marathon has been disqualified.
Aleksey Troshkin, who ran the course in 2:18:26, should not have been allowed to compete in the race, due to sanctions put on Russian athletes by the athletics governing body, the IAAF.

In a statement, Jersey Marathon says the revised results for the top five men are as follows:
- 1st Chris Zablocki
- 2nd Dan Tanui
- 3rd Eric Koech
- 4th Ian Livesey
- 5th Samuel Ongaki
