Admiral Park and Leale's Yard in Guernsey will be transformed, after planners gave approval to major developments at both sites.
Developers who will be transforming Admiral Park in Guernsey say the changes will bring in more local jobs, and a boost for business and tourism.
Comprop will spend £70 million on developments at the St Peter Port site, which include a multi-screen cinema, a hotel and 700 parking spaces.
Following this approval, we are now in a position to discuss with interested parties the real opportunity that this site presents for a mixed use development.
We hope to attract business, leisure, entertainment and community facilities to the site.
They also say the plans will put "private sector money into the economy", as well as attract global businesses.
Developers will build more than 400 homes and parking spaces, as well as retail units and a public plaza.
Plans for new homes and retail space at Leale's Yard, as well as a hotel and cinema at Admiral Park are being considered.
Plans to develop Leale's Yard and Admiral Park could be given the final nod in an open planning meeting this morning.
