In an exclusive interview with ITV News, the mother of a woman, who drowned near Green Island on Saturday, says her daughter went for a paddle and was dragged out by the sea.
Joy Godfray was pulled from rough seas during one of the highest tides of the summer, but was later pronounced dead in hospital.
Miss Godfray had been due to celebrate her 32nd birthday yesterday.
Our reporter Leah Ferguson spoke to Joy's close knit family, who are thankful for all the messages of support they have received following her death.
Joy's mother also praised the services who tried to save her.
