Decision on whether De Wit is fit to stand trial due today

A decision is expected today on whether the Dutch national charged with the death of Sarah Groves is fit to stand trial.

Richard De Wit is accused of murdering the 24-year-old from Guernsey, who was found dead on a houseboat in Kashmir in 2013.

But he could soon be transferred to a mental health clinic in Delhi for treatment.

The Dutch government commissioned a psychiatric report into De Wit's mental health, which found him unfit for trial.

It said he suffers from a 'long-term and chronic psychotic disorder within the schizophrenia spectrum' and says he is convinced he is being poisoned.
