Jerseyman murdered in Thailand

Thai authorities have convicted two bar workers for the murders of the British backpackers, amid allegations that the suspects made confessions under duress.

Mr Miller and Miss Witheridge were brutally murdered on the holiday island of Koh Tao in September.

Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo have been sentenced to death.

More protests expected against conviction of two men for murdering David Miller

More protests are expected in Myanmar today against the conviction of two men for the murder of Jerseyman David Miller.

Burmese men Zaw Lin and Win Zaw Htun have been sentenced to death for killing the 24-year-old and fellow traveller Hannah Witheridge in Thailand.

On the 30th December hundreds of protesters, led by Buddhist monks, marched to the Thai embassy in Yangon, holding banners reading 'Free Zaw Lin and Win Zaw Tun'.

They are expected to protest again today.
