Plans to turn Jersey into a winter destination

Tourism bosses in Jersey are working to turn the island into a winter destination to boost visitor numbers.

As part of Visit Jersey's Winter campaign, it has been promoting new attractions to draw in the tourists outside the boom summer months.

One of those attractions is the Narnia Winter Wonderland which opens tonight at the Weighbridge.

That marketing effort went so well, they are now nearly three quarters booked up already and visitors are coming from the UK.

Jersey is still a predominantly summer destination but... we do have a strong winter product. It's our job to educate and inspire people about that product and that's what we're doing through our current campaign and hopefully that will increase our visitor numbers during the winter months.

– Adam Caerlewy-Smith, Head of Marketing, Visit Jersey

Visit Jersey has been asking islanders to post their pictures on social media showing how beautiful Jersey is in winter.
