Ala the Aye Aye comes to Durrell

A young female Aye Aye called Ala has come to Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

There are only 61 Aye Ayes in captivity, so the new edition is an exciting one.

Ala is settling in from her journey from Japan and will be in quarantine for a few months before she can be seen by the public.

Durrell also have a young male, Pan and hope infants will be on the cards in the future.

The park haven't had any births since 2003 as before Pan and Ala came along, they only had elderly male and middle-aged female Aye Ayes.
