Mobile network providers JT and Airtel want to merge

Mobile network providers JT and Airtel-Vodafone have submitted an application to merge the two companies.

The Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities (CIRCA) confirmed they have received the application and assessments will now begin.

CIRCA was created to ensure consumers in the Channel Islands receive best value.

In a statement Airtel-Vodafone said the integration of networks would maximize coverage and speed as well as creating better value for money.
