Archery: Host of Channel Islanders through to medal matches

It has been a hugely successful morning for the Channel Islands archers at Jersey rugby club with a large number of shooters making it through to the head-to-head medal matches.

Guernsey are guaranteed a gold and silver medal in the women's recurve as the Sarnian pair of Chantelle Goubert and Lisa Gray made their way through to the final.

In the bronze medal match Jersey's Maria Mitchell will have a chance for a medal in her first ever Games.

Elsewhere there will be a Jersey against Guernsey battle for gold in the women's compound as Lucy O'Sullivan faces Gen Witham this afternoon.

In the men's competition Jersey's Mark Renouf will be going for gold in the recurve competition.
