Jersey ran out convincing winners over Alderney in their opening NatWest Island Games football fixture.
Goals from Jake Baker, Jack Boyle, Luke Watson, Karl Hinds, Jack Cannon and Cav Miley sealed the rout at Springfield in front of hundreds of fans.
The Ridunians put in a dogged display in the opening half an hour though where they kept the hosts at bay, even having a couple of optimistic shots at goal themselves.
But as soon as midfielder Baker swept in Jersey's first after 35 minutes, from 12 yards out, they took full command.
Boyle added a second from outside the box before captain, Watson, struck a third into the top corner from close range to give the Caesareans a 3-0 lead at half-time.
The second period started slowly before Hinds headed in the fourth.
Then there was a flurry of activity late on. Alderney's Jacob Olivier was sent off for a second bookable offence before a Cannon free kick evaded everyone for five, then Miley poked in from close range soon after to round off the scoring.
Jersey Head Coach, Jimmy Reilly, described the 6-0 win as "encouraging" whilst Alderney boss, Alan Adamson, said he couldn't have asked for more from his players despite showing their more illustrious hosts "too much respect".
Jersey play the Western Isles tomorrow whilst Alderney take on the Isle of Man.
Afterwards former Jersey Manager, Craig Culkin, gave his verdict on the match to Mark McQuilan.
The weekend event coincides with International Pride Month and the 51st anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
The scheme has been backed by the island's Lieutenant-Governor, and is the first of its kind in the Channel Islands.
Sunny spells and isolated light showers. After dusk fair spells with isolated showers.
