Jersey's Field Squadron appeals for Guernsey recruits

Jersey's Field Squadron is launching a recruitment drive in Guernsey.

A team will visit the island next Friday, 5 June, to run recruitment activities and try to get islanders to join up.

They will be on the streets of St Peter Port until Tuesday, 10 June, and will also run army fitness sessions in the evenings.

The Jersey Field Squadron has been recruiting from Guernsey since March 2014, with the ultimate aim of re-establishing the Guernsey Militia.

It says its biggest challenge is raising awareness of the Squadron's presence on the island.
