As ITV Channel TV prepares to move offices, we've been trawling through the reels and reams of archive reports, documentaries and adverts we've transmitted since Channel first went on air back on the 1st September 1962.

A dip in the archive: the 1977 International Waiter's Race

ITV Channel Television has a very exciting couple of months ahead, after 26 years at our current station in Jersey we're moving to brand new studios on St Helier's waterfront.

As we've been preparing for the big move we've been trawling through the reels and reams of archive reports, documentaries and adverts we've transmitted since Channel first went on air back on the 1st September 1962.

And we thought what better opportunity to share with you some of the gems we've uncovered from the past 5 decades.

The first is a with a report that harks back to Jersey's tourism hey-day.
