New Jersey delegates get a taste of Jersey

Two US assemblymen from New Jersey are leading a delegation to visit Jersey this week.

It comes after last year's visit to the US state by Assistant Chief Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf, and the Connétable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft.

During their visit, they will meet the Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, and the Lieutenant Governor, General Sir John McColl. They will also meet other States Members, including Senator Ozouf and Connétable Crowcroft, and members of the finance industry, as well as attending a dinner hosted by the Bailiff, William Bailhache.

Today, they are being given a tour around the island, starting at Durrell Wildlife Park.

After last year’s 350th anniversary celebrations, the strong historical links between Jersey and New Jersey are fresh in our minds. I am also looking forward to continuing to build on new relationships with our counterparts in the Garden State.

– Senator Ian Gorst, Chief Minister
