First official Council of Ministers meeting

Jersey's new Council of Ministers is meeting officially today for the first time. On the agenda, is the code of conduct and practice for Ministers and their Assistants and an initial discussion of political priorities.

Chief Minister Ian Gorst is hoping all Ministers work well together in harmony.

He now has the power to demand that Ministers sign up to what is called 'collective responsibility'. And he can decide to fire Ministers who step out of line.
