Jersey's Council of Ministers is to be chosen today. The Chief Minister has put his preferences forward, and other States Members can put themselves forward for the roles too.

Jersey's Council of Ministers decided

Jersey's government have now decided on the make-up of their new Council of Ministers.

All 10 of the seats have gone to the Chief Minister's nominees, meaning all those who have contested his choices have failed.

The full list of the new ministers is as follows:

  • Senator Alan Maclean is the new minister for Treasury and Resources
  • Senator Lyndon Farnham will take charge at Economic Development
  • Deputy Kristina Moore has the top job at the Home Affairs Department
  • Senator Sir Philip Bailhache will continue to represent the island as the External Relations Minister
  • Senator Andrew Green will take over at the Health Department
  • Deputy Eddie Noel will take charge of the Transport and Technical Services Department
  • Deputy Susie Pinel will be Social Security Minister
  • Deputy Rod Bryans will take charge of the Education, Sport and Culture Department
  • Deputy Anne Pryke will take charge of the Housing Department
  • Deputy Steve Luce will head the Planning and Environment Department
