The Stroke Association has an easy way to remember the signs of a stroke in a loved one;
F - Face - is a side of their face dropping or is it numb? Ask them to smile, does it look uneven?
A - Arms - is one arm weak or numb? Ask the person to raise their arms in the air, does one arm drift downwards?
S - Speech - is their speech slurred? Are you finding it hard to understand what they are saying or are they unable to speak?
T - Time - it's crucial to call the emergency services as soon as you recognise these symptoms, it's time to call 999.
