Search for missing Jerseyman

The inquest into the death of Adrian Lynch has found that the cause is unascertainable.

The 20-year-old went missing in December 2015 and was found in Handois Reservoir in August this year.

This afternoon the inquest was closed and Adrian's father says the family can now 'move forward and end the ordeal'.

Adrian disappeared after a Christmas party last December and hundreds of islanders joined search efforts to help find the 20-year-old.

His body was found in Handois reservoir in August, eight months since he was last seen.

The cause of his death is still unknown, although is not thought to be suspicious.

Family members are among those expected to attend this morning's hearing.

These were the words of the sister of Jerseyman Adrian Lynch today at a memorial service for the 20 year old.

Over 100 people gathered at 2:30pm today at the St Helier Methodist Centre to pay their respects.

Reverend Billy Slatter says today was a chance for people to come together and to say, as an island, we cared about Adrian.
