Channel Islanders do their bit in a festive knit

Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day has arrived in the Channel Islands.

Islanders will be dressing up in their finest festive knitwear, in support of ITV fundraiser Text Santa.

Money raised will be split between three charities, Make a Wish, Save the Children and Macmillan.

X Factor co-presenter, Caroline Flack, has spoken of her excitement at the special programme broadcast on ITV this evening in aid of charity.

Islanders are getting involved by wearing Christmas jumpers and raising money for Text Santa.

Olly Murs prepares for Text Santa broadcast

Celebrities are dressing up in their finest festive knitwear today, in support of Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day.

ITV will be broadcasting its star-studded annual fundraiser this evening. It will be presented by Christine Bleakley, Alesha Dixon, Caroline Flack, Amanda Holden, Paddy McGuinness, Stephen Mulhern, Olly Murs, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

ITV is asking people to wear their Christmas jumpers to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish UK and Save the Children.

Then this evening on ITV there is a three-hour Christmas charity appeal spectacular.
