Four teenagers in court in connection with Morgan Huelin death

Four teenagers have appeared in court facing charges in connection with the death of Jersey youngster Morgan Huelin.

Three 16-year olds and a 17-year-old are charged with perverting the course of justice.

One is also charged with drugs offences and possession of indecent images of children.

They were bailed and the case is due to resume on the 5th January.

Four Jersey teenagers are due in court today facing charges in connection with the death of teenager Morgan Huelin.

The Victoria College student died shortly after being found unconscious in a lane in Trinity in July.

The 16-year-olds are all charged with perverting the course of justice.

One is also charged with drugs offences and possession of indecent images of children.

None of them can be named for legal reasons.

Five to be charged in connection with the death of Morgan Huelin

Five male teenagers are to be charged in connection with the death of 16-year-old Morgan Huelin.

The Victoria College student died shortly after being found unconscious in a lane in Trinity in July.

Jersey Police say following a full investigation all five will be charged with perverting the course of justice.

One of the 16-year-olds will also be charged with one count of importation of a controlled Class C drug, two counts of possession of a Class A drug and one count of possession of indecent images of children.

Four of the charged will appear before the Youth Court at midday on Thursday.

Investigation into death of Jersey teenager to be concluded this week

A police investigation into the death of a Jersey teenager should be concluded by the end of this week.

16-year-old Morgan Huelin died shortly after being found in a lane in Trinity in July.

Five teenagers were originally arrested on suspicion of murder.

Last month police said they were no longer pursuing a murder inquiry but the five have remained on police bail.

Today the Minster for Home Affairs told the States the investigation was in its final days.

Home Affairs Minister to be asked for update on teen death investigation

Jersey's Home Affairs Minister is set to be asked to give an update on the progress of the investigation into the death of a teenager.

16-year-old Morgan Huelin was found in a lane in Trinity in July and died on route to hospital.

Five teenagers were originally arrested on suspicion of murder but police later decided not to continue a murder investigation.

The five remain on police bail and the police has said that further offences are "under consideration".

They have not since released any further updates in relation to the investigation.

As the States meets for question time today, Deputy Jackie Hilton will put the following question to Deputy Kristina Moore:

Suspects in Morgan Huelin case have bail extended

The five suspects arrested in connection with the death of Morgan Huelin have had their bail extended.

16-year-old Morgan died in July and was found in a lane in Trinity.

Five people were arrested on suspicion of murder after his death.

The suspects bail has been continued until late November.

It's to allow more specialist forensic work to take place in the UK.

Morgan Huelin's inquest opens and adjourns

The inquest of Jersey teenager Morgan Huelin has opened and adjourned.

The 16-year-old's body was found in a lane in Trinity last month.

This morning, the short hearing agreed that he could be cremated, with the Deputy Viscount Advocate Mark Harris saying that the two post mortem examinations that have been carried out mean his body can be released.

Authorities are still waiting for the results of a toxicology report.

No family or friends were at the inquest opening, where evidence was given by police.

Five people have been arrested in connection with his death and have recently had their bail extended until the end of September.

Post Mortem examination to find out how teenager died

A post mortem examination has taken place today to determine how Jersey teenager Morgan Huelin died.

The 16-year-old's body was found in a lane in Trinity on Sunday morning.

Five teenagers were arrested on suspicion of murder, but were last night released on police bail while the investigation continues.

Initial results of today's examination are due later this week.

Victoria College offer support to older students

Jersey's Victoria College will today offer support to its older students following the death of one of its pupils.

16-year-old Morgan Huelin died on Sunday.

A home office post mortem examination is scheduled for today.

GCSE or A level students, who have already finished the summer term, are being invited back if they are affected by Morgan's death.

For those students who knew Morgan and didn't attended Victoria College the Jersey's Youth Enquiry Service have posted messages on social media reminding young islanders their service is available for anyone who has been affected.

Five teenagers have been released on bail after being questioned on suspicion of murder.

The investigation into exactly how Morgan Huelin died continues.
