Review says that Guernsey's Secondary School are 'too small'

A review looking at education in the island as a whole said the current secondary facilities are too small, and three bigger ones would be better.

Guernsey 'should have three secondary schools'

A former member of the Education Board, and Headteacher, has given his vision for the future of the island's school system.

Denis Mulkerrin says there should be three schools instead of four, and the College of FE and Grammar Sixth Form Centre should combine on one site, to provide a wide range of post-16 qualifications.

All of this would involved scrapping the 11-plus.

Mr Mulkerrin's views come as a review is released warning that Guernsey secondary schools are too small.
