Guernsey man flown to Southampton hospital following collision between lorry and pedestrian

A pedestrian in Guernsey has been flown to Southampton Hospital following a serious road collision involving a lorry.

Police were called at around 7:20am to Route Des Laurens in Torteval following the road traffic collision that took place on the morning of Monday 6 January.

The pedestrian suffered what are believed to have been serious injuries and was transported to hospital by St John Emergency Ambulance Service.

The man remains in a serious condition and has now been flown to Southampton.

There was a heavy police presence on the scene with specialist officers conducting the initial stages of a collision investigation.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information regarding what happened.
