Guernsey Airport suspend flights following 'technical fault'
Guernsey Airport experienced a technical failure this morning which resulted in the loss of radar coverage.
Flight dispatchers were left in the dark as a fault in the radar's power supply caused the system to fail.
Operations were suspended for around half an hour between 9.52am and 10.24am.
The incident resulted in disruption at Guernsey Airport, with all of this morning's passenger flights currently delayed.
Guernsey Ports have reassured islanders that the fault has now been corrected.
Guernsey Ports says: "A technical fault occurred in the power supply to Guernsey Airport’s radar system at 9.52am, which resulted in the temporary loss of radar coverage and subsequent suspension of all flying operations.
"The system was restored at 10:24am, when flights were able to recommence."
