Woman dies after car falls off cliff and lands on roof near Jersey's Corbière Lighthouse

A woman has died and another has been hospitalised after a car fell off a cliff in Jersey.
The black Suzuki Swift vehicle dropped around 20 feet and landed on its roof near Corbière Lighthouse on Sunday evening (7 April).
Emergency services were called just after 5pm with police, fire and ambulance attending the incident off the cliff edge at Corbière public car park.
They had to use specialist equipment to rescue the driver who was trapped inside the car.
Both the driver and passenger were taken to the General Hospital and treated in A&E.
The 84-year-old passenger died of her injuries and her family are being supported by specially trained officers.
Flowers have been laid at Corbière with one message reading, "How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard".
The second woman remains in a stable condition.
An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01534 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously.
